DAILY VIBRATION & MANDALA REPORT: Monday December 5th 2016
Monday December 5th’s vibration (5+12+2+0+1+6) = 26/8. With 8 leading the way today, energetically, everything seems to increase, and that usually means your responsibilities, your bank balance and your desire to be a success on all levels, your business, your relationships, everything. 8’s symbol is INFINITY, after all!
The shape of the 8, known as the Lemniscate, depicts the rhythm of energy that flows around and within two polar opposites. The 8 is one of the symbols that expresses the ancient spiritual axiom of “AS ABOVE – SO BELOW”. The upper circle represents the heavens or spiritual consciousness, while the lower circle represents objective, 3D consciousness and the earth plane. 8 indicates that the material realm is merely a reflection of the much more expansive spiritual reality, the polar opposite of the Spiritual world. The 8 symbol shows us how these polar opposites pass through the same point of unity before expressing their differences. The crossing point of the figure 8 suggests the crossing-point from the material realm to the spiritual realm, the “needle’s eye” through which it is difficult for those chained to materialism to pass. Esotericism sees the 8 as signifying a resurrection into a higher consciousness, and representing the eternal and spiral motion of cycles.
The Octahedral star is formed from two squares interlocking which indicates how influential and important 4’s energy is to the 8. 8 is the double 4! The 4 and the 8 underpin earthly, material existence, and we can see this clearly in the octahedral diagram opposite.
The 4 corners of the square that sits on its base mark the 4 earthly elements, while the square that interlocks with the elemental square unites the elements to create variable climatic conditions that exist in the physical, material realm.

4 represents the material world and the Square and 8 as the double 4 raises the square to the 3rd dimension of the cube, (the cube has 8 vertices) solidifying the manifesting energies, and this is why the 8 will always be able to manifest whatever it sets its mind upon. And therein lies the rub! The rub of taking responsibility for ones’ thoughts, because the potency of the 8 will create your reality and consequently your karma for you. Remember, not all karma is bad, though! 8’s energy teaches us to take responsibility for our lives and actions, our karmic story and debts: in fact the word RESPONSIBLE adds up to an 8.
If we look at the 8 symbol, we see that it forms an endless looping in and out, a giving and receiving of energy in a never-ending cycle. Along with zero, the 8 is the only number that can be drawn over and over without taking your pen off the paper. It symbolises the endless cycle of cause and effect, which generates the laws of karma and the cycle of life in general. You will know that what you give, you receive. The karmic cycle is what keeps us focused on the earth plane, and underpins the physics of gravitational attraction, something the figure 8 displays graphically.
So the experiences of today may indicate a karmic pattern that will give you sharp clarity about a situation. Often, the word karma sends off alarm bells (!), but really 8’s energy is just about taking responsibility for one’s actions, and brings with it the awareness that your actions reverberate like ripples from the stone thrown in the lake. Indeed, the word responsibility adds up to an 8!
The 8th card in the Tarot is Fortitude or Strength. The card depicts a woman standing over and grasping the open jaws of a lion. She is calm and in control, and has power over the lion without being forceful or aggressive Most decks have 8’s symbol of Infinity pictured above the woman’s head. The lion symbolises our wild side, our animal-instinctive self that must be tamed by the intuition, or the seeker within us, which is symbolised by the woman or the feminine, receptive side of our nature (the Goddess).
The calmness she displays tells us that we must seek to tame or focus our animal instincts with a gentle attitude, rather than a severe one. Through calm and focused discipline, we can balance our minds and develop the ability to consciously create and take responsibility for our reality. The Lion is the Ego, the Solar Plexus centre, our individualized will. When we act according to our animal desires, we become entrapped in the dense suffering of materialism. Rather than trying to ignore, avert or go to war with our ego-selves, 8’s ebbing and flowing energy reminds us of the continuous flow of water, working away at the stone, in a calm, patient but very assertive way, which is the correct approach in the transformation of the ego self into spirit self.
CHAKRA OF THE DAY:
The Throat Chakra: Mandala hand-painted by Rosalind Pape.
The Throat chakra has 16 petals, and 16 is 2 x 8, the 8 doubled and reflected. We see the woman opening the lion’s mouth; once she has calmly but assertively examined her beliefs and thoughts, and how they prompt her reactions and therefore her karmic story, she can finally without fear, speak her truth, not her ego-driven truth. Our self-esteem is amplified and we feel empowered when we can freely express our feelings and so it is appropriate that this chakra is often referred to as the centre of our will or power, and also connects directly with the Sacral chakra, the centre of creative expression.
The Sanskrit term for the Throat chakra, Visshudha, means to purify, and 8’s energy seeks to purify us all of ego-driven desires. Clarity of speech and communication in general is the governing aspect of this chakra, but it also relates to the etheric body, activated through the central nervous system. It is closely associated with the Third Eye chakra, receiving the insights of the intuition and the higher mental faculties which the Third Eye opens us up to. (And the Third Eye chakra with its two petals, or the two circles of the Vesica Piscis intersecting, looks very much like the symbol of 8. Another powerful link!
26/8 is known as the good news vibration, the 6 communicates through the voice especially, the 2 desires to share, and the 8 also highlights synchronicities. So, messages you receive today may highlight good things coming from good deeds done in the past. This is a good vibration for making financial deals, signing contracts etc, generally, anything started under an 8 will grow and grow, as long as you adhere to the small print.
All the numbers in 26/8 share one keyword: BALANCE. The 2 as the scales weighs things up, the 8 is inspired to merge the influences of the material and the spiritual worlds, and the 6 seeks to create harmony through being supportive and utilizing its excellent communication skills.
In the 26th card of the Tarot, the Page of Wands stands gazing at the staff of power in his hand. He seems to be weighing up the power he knows he has inside, and now he contemplates how best to put it to use. He has yet to put all his powers to the test, but now seems ready to embark on his quest, symbolised by the plains and mountains that lay before him. He is protected by the talismanic properties of the salamander cloak he wears. The Page of Wands expresses feelings of excitement and optimism, he is eager to get going on his journey to new and different experiences, it’s a great day to plan a trip that will take you far into the realms of creative expression and inspiration!
Enjoy your day everyone! And remember, if it is your birthday (like my darling’s! Happy Birthday Peggy! ) or anniversary today, then this vibration stays with you for the whole year as your Personal Year vibration! Rosalind Pape.
